DJULA has created this Privacy Policy to communicate its policy and practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data that we collect on our website, digital platforms, in our stores or during our events.

We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy carefully as it contains important information about your personal data.

This personal data collected allows us to ensure the management of our users in compliance with the rules defined by the law known as “Informatique et Libertés” n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms as amended and by the European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) as well as with the recommendations of the National Commission on Data Processing and Freedoms (CNIL).

 DJULA undertakes to ensure that personal data is only collected and processed for the purposes set out below, in accordance with the principles of proportionality and minimization.

1. DATA CONTROLLER OF the processing of your personal data

DJULA is the data controller within the meaning of the regulations applicable to personal data, in particular the amended “Informatique et Libertés” law of 6 January 1978 and the GDPR, for the purposes described below.

DJULA is a French “société par actions simplifiée” registered in the Trade and Companies Register of Paris under number B 411 687 239 and whose registered office is located at 83 rue des Saints-Pères – Paris (75006) – France.

2. Privacy Policy

DJULA attaches particular importance to the processing, confidentiality and security of your personal data. We are committed to offering you personalized services while respecting your privacy and personal choices.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain our information collection practices and your rights. As we continue to develop and improve the services we offer to take advantage of advances in technology, this Privacy Policy may change at any time.

These changes will be effective upon publication of the new privacy policy.

3. You are our customer

When you visit our websites (www.djula.fr, we collect the following data:

  • Data relating to your identity, such as your name, your contact details, your email address;
  • Data relating to your payment methods (credit card number and expiration date, Paypal account information);
  • Data relating to the follow-up of our commercial relationship, in particular your order number, the history of your purchases, your requests to the Djula customer service;
  • Data about your preferences and interests;
  • Web identification data, including your IP address or browsing information about your terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) collected by cookies.

We are authorized to process the above data in order to manage our contractual relationship (order management, customer relationship management, invoicing, creation of customer accounts, etc.) insofar as this data is necessary for the execution of the contract concluded with DJULA. 

In addition, we have a legitimate interest in processing the above data in order to respond to your requests for information and contacts through the “Contact” section.

Finally, we are also authorized to process your data in order to manage your requests for the rights listed in Article 13 below and as a result of our legal obligations.

4. You receive our newsletter

We process your personal data when you subscribe to the newsletter on our website (www.djula.fr . This processing is established on the legal basis of your consent. We retain your data until you withdraw your consent or the processing changes significantly and we are required by applicable law to collect your consent again.

We may also send you our newsletter if you are our client in order to send you information about DJULA's services and news. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping you informed of our products and services. We keep your data for the entire duration of our contractual relationship, unless you object.

For the purposes of these treatments, we collect the following data:

  • Identification data (name, first name);
  • Email address.

We do not share your data with any third party, except for the software publisher for the newsletter.

Finally, we are also authorized to process your data in order to manage your requests for the rights listed in Article 13 below and as a result of our legal obligations.

5. YOU RECEIVE OUR TARGETED COMMUNICATIONS

We may send you targeted advertising or offers based on your geographic location or date of birth.

We may collect the following data:

  • Identification data;
  • E-mail address.

We are only allowed to process your data if you have expressly consented to the disclosure of your data and to being contacted by DJULA for this purpose.

Finally, we are also authorized to process your data in order to manage your requests for the rights listed in Article 13 below and as a result of our legal obligations.

6. you are a prospect

We process your data for commercial prospecting purposes as part of our customer identification operations or when you fill in our contact forms for information requests.

We may collect the following data:

  • Identification data;
  • E-mail address.

We are authorized to process your data because you have expressly consented to be contacted by DJULA when you filled in the contact form.

We keep your data for a period of 3 years from the last contact made at your initiative.

Finally, we are also authorized to process your data in order to manage your requests for the rights listed in Article 13 below and as a result of our legal obligations.

7. YOU ARE APPLYING for a job with us

We process your personal data in order to follow and manage applications for salaried positions, temporary employees, work-study students and interns when:

  • You apply for a job directly to DJULA;
  • You apply for a job offer through one of the recruitment agencies we use and which are co-processors of your data;
  • You send us a spontaneous application.

We collect the following data:

  • Identification data;
  • Private life data;
  • Professional life data;
  • Economic and financial data.

 We are authorized to process your data insofar as we have a legitimate interest in implementing the recruitment process for employees, temporary workers, work-study students and interns.

 Finally, we are also authorized to process your data in order to manage your requests for the rights listed in Article 13 below and as a result of our legal obligations.

8. You are a co-contractor/supplier

We process your data as part of your contractual relationship with us, for the purposes of managing and monitoring the services you provide and/or the performance of the contract.

 We process the following data:

  • Identification data;
  • Economic and financial data.

We are entitled to process your data insofar as this data is necessary for the performance of the contract with DJULA. In addition, we have a legitimate interest in processing the data of employees involved in the implementation of the contract in order to perform the contract between us.

Finally, we are also authorized to process your data in order to manage your requests for the rights listed in Article 13 below and as a result of our legal obligations.

9. Recipients of the data

For the purposes described in the above articles, the personal data collected are transmitted only to the authorized personnel of the departments concerned by the aforementioned processing (E-commerce, Sales, Marketing, Communication, Customer Relations, Logistics, Finance).

 Personal data can also be transmitted to:

  • subprocessors or service providers acting in the name and on behalf of DJULA (software publishers);
  • judicial and administrative authorities, if required by law or in litigation or pre-litigation proceedings;
  • a buyer or partner, in the context of a merger, joint venture or divestiture.

 DJULA ensures that your personal data is only communicated to third parties within an appropriate contractual framework guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of the data and compliance with the purposes of the processing.

10. Transfers of personal data to third countries

In the course of its activities, DJULA may transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

 In such cases, we ensure, before transferring your personal data, that the recipient offers an adequate level of data protection (based, for example, on an adequacy decision validated by the European Commission or on standard contractual clauses).

 In some cases, we may obtain your consent before proceeding with the transfer.

 You may obtain additional information about the terms and conditions of data transfers, as well as a copy of the associated collateral documentation, by requesting it from the contact point listed in the “Your Rights” section.

11. Cookies

When browsing our websites (www.djula.fr, information relating to the navigation of your terminal may be recorded through files called “Cookies”.

The cookies are the following: 

  • Essential cookies: Essential cookies are necessary for the operation of our site. They allow you to browse our site and use its services and features.
  • Preference cookies: Preference cookies allow us to store information about your choices, settings and preferences. They are not essential to the operation of our site.
  • Analytical cookies: Analytical tracers collect or use information about your use of our websites, which helps us improve them.

We process your data from essential cookies on the legal basis of DJULA's legitimate interest in operating its website (www.djula.fr.

We process preference and analytical cookie data with the consent of the relevant users of our websites (www.djula.fr.

These cookies allow us to:

  • Measure the frequentation of our websites (www.djula.fr, as well as its contents;
  • Save customer account information when you are logged in;
  • Save the shopping cart;
  • Customize the display of the content available to you.

We keep the data from the cookies for a maximum of 25 months. After this period, the data is automatically deleted.

12. How long we keep your personal data

It is our policy to keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed and for the purposes for which it was collected.

We retain all of your personal information for as long as your personal account remains active. You can close your personal account by contacting customer service. 

Data is kept for a maximum of 5 years from the closure of your account on the basis of DJULA's legitimate interest in demonstrating that it has fulfilled its contractual obligations with you.

When the maximum data retention period is reached, we delete the data from our systems, except for those data for which we have a legal obligation to retain.

13. Your rights

Under the GDPR, your rights to control your personal data at any time are as follows:

  • Right to Information (through this policy);
  • Right of access: you may obtain a copy of your personal data processed by DJULA;
  • Right of rectification: if you believe that your personal data is incorrect or incomplete, you may request that it be rectified;
  • Right to delete collected data: in certain cases provided for by law, you may request that your personal data be deleted, in particular if the processing is based on your consent and you wish to withdraw it, or if it appears that your personal data is no longer necessary with regard to the purposes for which it was collected or processed. However, this right is not absolute and DJULA may invoke a legal basis or a legitimate reason to retain your personal data;
  • Right to object to the processing of data: in certain cases, you may object to the processing of your personal data for reasons relating to your personal situation. However, this right is not absolute and DJULA may reject your request for legitimate and compelling reasons;
  • Right to restrict processing: you may also request the restriction (e.g. suspension) of the processing of your personal data if (i) the data is incorrect, (ii) you have exercised your right to object, (iii) the data in question is no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing but is still necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or (iv) the processing is unlawful but you object to the deletion of the data;
  • Right to portability of collected data: where this right applies, you can receive the personal data you have provided to us or pass it on to a third party (where technically possible);
  • Right to object: you may object to the processing of personal data for legitimate reasons, in particular for marketing purposes;
  • Right to be forgotten: subject to certain conditions detailed in Article 17 of the GDPR, you have the right to obtain from the data controller the erasure of your personal data;
  • Right in the event of death: You have the right to define directives concerning the fate of your data after your death.
